Static Strength
Accreditation
Static strength tests on vehicles, their carbodies, underframes, bogies, and buffers subjected to loads due to vertical and longitudinal forces; lifting vehicles at designated points and at the headstock are performed in compliance with the following documents:
- ČSN EN 12663 (Art. 6.2),
- ČSN 28 1300 (Art. 5.2.4),
- ČSN 28 1310 (Art. 10.3.3),
- UIC 510-3, UIC 566 (Art. 4.1), UIC 571-1,
- UIC 571-2, UIC 577 (point 1), UIC 581, UIC 651,
- ERRI B12/RP17,
- TSI,
- Pursuant to special requirements of the client.
The aim of the tests is to find out the static strength of all types of rail vehicles and their parts. The following are used during the tests:
- Tensile compression test bench for static strength tests on carbodies and
underframes in the testing laboratory hall at Cerhenice –
parameters:
- Maximum length of tested vehicle 33 m,
- Maximum longitudinal forces – compressive 3000 kN / tensile 2000 kN,
- Vertical forces – by the means of hydraulic systems,
- Combinations of vertical and horizontal forces,
- Mobile compression test bench for static strength tests on carbodies on the premises of the client – parameters:
- Maximum length of tested vehicle 45 m,
- Maximum longitudinal force 500 kN,
- Vertical load with weights,
- Measurements of forces, stress (strain gauge measurement) and deformations within the scope of up to 500 measuring channels.
