The research department is engaged in independent research and development in the field of rolling stock. It offers a comprehensive solution for research and development projects from the initial study (including basic research in the field of rolling stock) through design, construction, production drawings to cooperation in prototype production, approval and commissioning. The main area of activity is independent research projects on rolling stock or parts or components used in rolling stock.The department has a team of experienced and highly qualified experts. Some of them have been concentrating on selected areas of research and development for a long time, for example, observation and measurement of basic physical and chemical phenomena, technical analyses and calculations etc. The most modern methods and technical means are applied in the implementation of research and development projects, preparation of documentation, related analyses and calculations. The company's employees are continuously provided with service in the field of standards and regulations, so that all work is carried out with regard to their current or forthcoming version.For each project, great emphasis is placed on cooperation. Cooperation includes collaboration with other research organisations, the funder, the contracting authority and the final manufacturer or distributor. The aim of research and development activities is primarily to respect technological practices, to use a selected (available) range of semi-finished products and to select technically and financially suitable and feasible solutions.
